How Can I Add Return Notes in the Proweb?

Notes can be added to tax returns by preparers to help them when they later want to review information. For instance, a preparer may add a note to a Missing Information return tag, to serve as a reminder of what information is missing and required from the taxpayer. A return note can be added from either within the return or from the list of office clients. 

  • From within a tax return 

You can add a new return note and view previous ones by following the steps below: 

  • Go to the Main Menu of a tax return 
  • Click next to the taxpayers name. A dropdown menu will appear. 
  • From the menu, select Notes. 

  • Taxx Savage ProWeb will exhibit a new window with the option to add a new note: 

  • In the boxes provided, enter the text and a name for the note appropriately. 
  • Once done, click Save. 

From the office client list 

You can either add a note or access previous ones from the main client list by doing the following: 

  • Go to the main client list 
  • Search for a client from the list 
  • Then select the notes icon 

  • Taxx Savage ProWeb will automatically shows the Add a new note window: 

  • In the boxes provided, enter the text and a name for the note appropriately. 
  • Once done, click Save.
