Taxes To Go Mobile App for Desktop

Getting your taxes done has never been easier than now, thanks to the Taxes To Go mobile app. Your customers have to simply snap, send and later sign to do your taxes. 

Once they have downloaded the app, your taxpayers can create their accounts then upload documents needed for filing their tax return. The taxpayer then sends these documents to you. To finish the return, you are required to retrieve the sent information in your program. 

Upon completing the return, send it to your taxpayer for review and signature. 

There is a section on your Taxes To Go app that is completely integrated, in which you are able to chat and communicate to your client. 

You can find and use the app on either android or iOS. 

How you can get your branded Mobile App 

The Referral Link for your Branded Taxes To Go App is found in the Account Hub. It is automatically generated upon the successful configuration of your Taxes To Go then saved in the Account Hub.

To configure your Taxes To Go, complete the following steps:

  • Go to the Account Hub and Log in. The resultant page has a menu to the left and two tiles labeled Notifications and Taxes To Go.

 

  • Proceed to Taxes To Go either through the menu on the left or via View in the Taxes To Go tile on the page.

You will be taken to the Taxes To Go configuration page.

  •         On the page, you will see several fields, all of which you need to fill. These fields are;

o   Profile Name – write either your name or that of your company.

o   Color Theme – pick the color of your choice from the six provided.

o   Only show Logo on Mobile Site – this gives you the option of only showing your Logo in the app instead of your Profile Name. If you check the check box, then your Logo and not profile name will be visible in the app.

o   Apply the same configuration to additional locations – if your Account Hub’s Location Manager has several locations, click on this check box to apply this profile to all the locations. Upon checking this box, another will appear. Click on it to overwrite any configuration on the other locations. However, do not click on this check box if you want every location to have a different profile.

o   Upload Logo – to upload your Logo, click on Choose File and pick a file to upload your Logo. The file may be in PNG, GIF, or JPG formats.

o   When you have filled all these fields, click SAVE. The referral link will automatically be generated. 

Copy the generated referral link and share it with your clients either by email or text. It is this link that they will use to download your branded version of Taxes To Go. When you click on the referral link, it will lead you to the web page seen by your clients when they click the link.

FAQ

How can my customer get my branded Taxes To Go app? 

Your customer automatically gets your branded Taxes To Go app the moment they use your custom referral link to download the app. 


Your referral link is kept in your Account hub. You can copy then share it to your clients either through email, text or your website. 


When your customers click on the link, they are taken to our referral link website where they will fill in their information and upon completion, have their emails linked with your branded Taxes To Go app. It is this email that they should use to register for the app for them to get your branded Taxes To Go app. 


After submission, how long does it take for a return to show in my branded app queue? 

The moment a submission is made, it should automatically appear on the app queue. If this is not the case yet the taxpayer has submitted their documents,  refresh the program. Should the problem not be solved after refreshing the program, contact our support team. 


Is the branded Taxes To Go app in the app store? 

No, it is not. The branded Taxes To Go apps are not in the app store. They are simply Taxes To Go apps with branding over their base.

The branding comes about due to logging into the app using the information on the referral link website.

Does information from the previous year’s app pull forward into the current year’s app? 

No, it does not. information entered into the app is only for the current tax year and does not spill over to the subsequent year. For security reasons, we do away with data entered into the previous year’s app.

When I send documents to Taxes To Go, does the information in them upload into the data fields of the program automatically? 


No. information submitted through Taxes To Go is not automatically taken to the tax return. 

You need to enter the information manually into the tax return after receiving it. 

Is it possible to use a single email and phone number to create several app accounts? 

No and Yes. No for using the same email and Yes for the same phone number.

Accounts on Taxes To Go Apps are attached to the email address used to create them. A single email address cannot be used to create multiple accounts. Already used email addresses are barred from creating another account.

On the other hand, however, one phone number can be used for different accounts. 

Can I pull a Taxes To Go app return into the program a second time? 

Yes. Tax returns in the Taxes To Go App are saved in the app and visible in the Taxes To Go Queue from where you can pull it again. It doesn’t matter whether you delete the Desktop or deactivate the ProWeb, you will still be able to access the returns.

In branded Taxes To Go apps, the returns appear and are available for claim in the app queue. 

In generic Taxes To Go apps, you have to manually pull the app returns by using the same email used in the app and the 6 digit code. 


How can I switch my generic Taxes To Go App to branded? 

You can’t. Once created, you cannot switch the generic Taxes To Go account to branded.

Branded accounts are connected to the taxpayer’s email address to which the referral link is sent.

To create a branded account on the Taxes To Go App, use the same email address as the one in the Account Hub to create your app account. Should you use a separate email from that in the Account Hub, a generic account is created.

To see the Branded App after creating the generic app, apply the following steps:

  •   Uninstall the generic app
  •  Send your referral link to a different email address, then use this link to re-download the app.
  • ·Then use the email address to which you sent the link to register your app account. This will lead you to the branded app. 

Is it possible to create a return pulling info from the previous year and continue using the Taxes To Go Mobile App? 

Yes. You can sync existing returns with information you send to your Taxes To Go, be it through the ProWeb or on a desktop.

To sync tax returns with your information via ProWeb, go to the Tools menu, then select Sync Return with Mobile App.

On a desktop, ensure that it is the same email address that you used in the app that is under the Name and Address menu then;

  • ·         Go to tax return.
  • ·         Proceed to Personal Information
  • ·         Select Other Categories
  • ·         Then click on Associate with Pro App Return?
  • ·         Enter the tax code shown on the app, and you’re done.

Which phones do I need to use the Taxes To Go Mobile App?

The Taxes To Go Mobile App is compatible with both Android and IOS. However, not all versions can operate the app. On Android, an OS of 7.0 and above operates the app, while on IOS, iOS of 11.0 and above will do. The phone must have an internet connection, a camera, and photo album access.
