How Can I File Deadline and Extension Information?
Individual Returns/Extensions
Individual income tax returns and extensions must be submitted before midnight on the 15th of April of the year immediately succeeding the tax year. In the event that April 15 falls on a weekend, that is Saturday or Sunday, then the due date becomes Monday immediately after it. However, being that Emancipation Day in Washington D.C is marked on April 16, should the following Monday fall on this date, then, the deadline will be postponed to the following day which will be April 17.
All returns and extensions should be transmitted to Taxx Savage before 11:59 PM local time on the deadline date for them to be considered timely filed. Try as much as possible to finalize and transmit all transmissions sometime before the deadline. This may be important because there is always a likelihood of your work receiving disruptions.
To be considered timely filed, the IRS rejected Individual returns and extensions can be corrected and retransmitted within 5 days. From the filing date, the deadline for retransmitting the corrected individual returns and extensions is at 11:59 PM of the fifth day.
