If you need to amend a tax return that was not initially prepared using Taxx Savage, you will need to recreate the original return within our software. This allows us to accurately process the changes and ensure a seamless filing experience.

Steps to Amend a Non-Taxx Savage Return:

  1. Recreate the Original Return: Carefully enter all the information from your original return into Taxx Savage, replicating the data.
  2. Identify and Make Corrections: Review the recreated return for any errors or necessary updates. Make the required changes to reflect the correct information.
  3. Complete Form 1040X: Our software will guide you through filling out the 1040X form, highlighting the specific changes you're making.
  4. Pay the Fee: Taxx Savage charges  fee for preparing and filing an amended return. A payment link will be provided on the Taxx Savage Partner Portal upon completing the necessary form.
  5. Submit the Amended Return: File the 1040X form with the IRS. You may need to include supporting documentation depending on the nature of the changes.
