Whenever any tax return gets to our server, there is a chain of tests that they go through to validate whether they are ready to be sent to the IRS. These are referred to as the validation tests. If a return fails any of these tests, they are said to have a validation error and are therefore unworthy to be sent to the IRS.
To view these returns that failed the validation test:
- Go to the Main Menu
- Proceed to Rejected Clients
- There is the option Select Rejects or Validation Errors. Click on the pointer below it.
- Then select Validation Errors
- All the returns with validation errors will be shown.
- Next to every return there is a SELECT button. Click on it to access a return.
