How Can I Set Up the Topaz Signature Pad?
You can't use what you don't have. To use the Topaz Signature Pad, you must first download and install the Topaz SignWeb Software. Below is a guide on how to do that:
Note: installation must be completed before you connect the signature pad.
- Go to the Topaz Website and download SigWeb.
- Shut down all the open web browsers
- Look for the downloaded files - SigWeb installer file which is usually in the Downloads directory. Right click on the file, then select the option "Run as Administrator"
- Follow the instructions provided by Topaz. You will be required to enter module numbers of your signature pad in the provided fields as you install the software.
- Connect the signature pad upon completing the installation.
- You can then use the SigWeb demo to test your signature pad. The demo can be accessed through www.sigplusweb.com/sigwebtablet_demo.html.
- To write your signature, click on "Sign" then write it. The signature box will display the signature you wrote.
- Close the tab which had the demo When you're done.
Upon successful installation and verification that the software works, you must then set up your ProWeb to be able to use the Topaz Signature Pad.
To set up your office to use the Signature Pad:
- Go to the Welcome Page
- Select Configuration
- Proceed to Office Setup
- Locate the "Use Topaz Signature Pad" option and check its box.
The Topaz Signature Pad acts as an alternative to using the mouse for both the taxpayer's and preparer's signatures.
