How Can I Set Up Security Templates in Proweb?

The ERO/Office Administrator can regulate what preparers can do in the program using the Security Templates. If the Security Templates did not exist, every part of the program would be accessible to any preparer. Depending on the Office, this may be undesirable.

Note: The Security Template of the ERO/Office Administrator must have full access to the program.

To add or setup a Security Template:

Select Configuration on the Welcome page of your ProWeb
Go to Security Templates
Proceed to +Add Security Template
Enter a Name for the Template
You can then add preparers to this Template
To grant a preparer access to an item, check the box next to it.
More information on an item is available when you hover your mouse over that item.
Once done, click Continue

Note: There is no limit to the number of Templates you can create.

To add a preparer to a Security Template:

Go to the Security Template and Click +Assign
Choose the preparers who you want to add to the template
When you are done, click Continue.

As you add a preparer to Configuration, you can Assign them a Security Template:

Add the preparer
Go to the Preparer Setup and click on the dropdown menu next to the Security Template
Select the template
Once you are done, click Continue.
