Some states require that for tax return preparation, the preparer charges sales tax.
Should you be in such a state, you can set the percentage you’d like to charge as your sales tax by following the steps below:
- On your ProWeb, locate the Main Menu
- Go to Configuration
- Select office set-up
- On the space provided, set the percentage to be charged as sales tax:
The amount entered will depend on how much you charge for preparation of tax returns. This amount will be invoiced to the taxpayer.
