Form 1040-V - Payment Voucher

When paying a balance that is due on the "Amount you owe" line of the tax return,  you may send Form 1040-V, Payment Voucher alongside the check or money order. This form promotes accuracy and efficiency in the processing of payments. The program generates Form 1040-V prefilled with the entire balance due for this tax return. In the event that the taxpayer wants to pay a lesser amount, they can do so by changing this amount. Ensure that you pay the entire balance due by the return due date to avoid late filing fees and penalties.

To enter an amount on Form 1040-V in Taxx Savage Pro:

  • Go to the Main Menu of the tax return (Form 1040-V)
  • From the form, select Payments, Estimates & EIC
