How Can I Switch My Generic Taxes to Go App to Branded?

Once created, you cannot switch the generic Taxes To Go account to branded one.

Branded accounts are connected to the taxpayer’s email address, to which the referral link is sent.

To create a branded account on the Taxes To Go App, use the same email address as the one in the Account Hub to create your app account. Should you use a separate email from that in the Account Hub, a generic account is created.

To see the Branded App after creating the generic app, apply the following steps:

  •   Uninstall the generic app
  •  Send your referral link to a different email address, then use this link to re-download the app.
  • ·Then use the email address to which you sent the link to register your app account, and you will be able to see the branded app.

 

Note: Both the branded and generic Taxes To Go Apps function in similar ways. For instance, the preparation of tax returns is done in the same way. The only difference between the two apps is in the claims. Branded apps appear in your Taxes To Go queue, whereas generic apps must be manually dragged in.
