Why Can't I see all of the Tax Returns in the Client List?
The following are the possible causes and solutions for taxpayers unable to see all their tax returns in Taxx Savage Pro Client List.
Filtered Client List
By using the filter icon, one can filter the client list through setting a column filter or filling in something in the search field at the toolbar on the left.
Filtering the client list allows you to see your tax returns but is limited to the filters set. Suppose you have accidentally or intentionally filtered the client list, just check the bottom left close to ``Total`` to see your tax returns. You can also remove the filters by selecting Clear Filters.
Faulty Client List
A faulty database file may also be the reason why you are not seeing all of your tax returns. However, you can rebuild the database with a security role in the Utilities menu. To rebuild the database file, go to the Quick Menu and click:
- Utilities
- Repair Tax Return Pick List
- The system would prompt you to provide a response whether all the states indicated in the tax return are installed for you to continue. Suppose you had received one or more returns through Office to Office transfer or you had loaded the returns from a backup, it is possible that you will lack all the states required. If you are certain, select YES, if not select NO.
Depending on how fast your computer is and the number of returns, the process otherwise takes a short time. You could as well ask the manager or owner for help if you can`t access the Utilities menu.
Incorrect Network configuration
Network configuration may change due to changing computers or having a new one such that the File Server will have to be installed in a different computer. This may be a possible reason why you cannot see all your returns. To know whether your network configuration is incorrect, go to the Quick menu in Taxx Savage Pro and select:
- Configuration
- System/Network Configuration Menu
- Suppose the computer you are using is the only one that handles tax returns, you could update the network info if needs be.
- Are You Using a Network? Respond with YES or NO
- Does the computer operate as the File Server in a networked office?
- Answer Are You Using a Network with a YES.
- The File Server should also be at YES.
- Suppose your computer is a Workstation in an office with a connected network, it probably obtains its Client List from the File Server. Should this be the case and you did not manage to Clear Filters, you could solve the problem by repairing the pick list on the File Server.
Suppose you cannot access the Configuration, you could ask the manager or owner to log in to the network first. If all fails, reach out to the Taxx Savage Pro support for help.
