How Can I Reset my Password or Unlock Locked Login Credentials? 

Desktop Password Reset

  • Open Taxx Savage Pro 
  • On the login page, enter your username then click on Forgot Password 
  • You will be given three chances to correctly answer your Security Question. If you fail on all three attempts, your login credentials will be locked
  • After correctly answering your security question, click Okay
  • Create a new password. You will be required to confirm it for verification 
  • Using the new password, you can now login to the program 

Unlocking Locked Login Credentials 

In the event that a Preparer’s login is locked, the following steps can be used to unlock it: 

  • Open Taxx Savage Pro 
  • Login as the Admin. The password that you first created is the Admin Password. 
  • Select Configuration from the Main Menu of the Taxx Savage Pro 
    • Then go to Firm/ERO/Preparer Setup 
    • Proceed to the Preparer(s) Menu then select the preparer whose login credentials were locked 
    • Go to the Preparer Security 
    • Select Password/Security Question - You will be asked whether you would like to clear the existing password and security question. To this, answer Yes. 
  • The next time the preparer attempts to log into the program, they will have to; 
    • Enter their Username, ignore the Password field (leave it blank), then click on Login
    • They will then be required to create a new password and security question 
  • Upon completion of the above steps, the preparer will then be able to log into the program using their new passwords.
