Desktop: Managing the Client List

There are various ways through which the Client List display in Taxx Savage Pro can be changed. 

Customize which column to display 

The Client List does not need to display all the columns. To choose the columns you would wish displayed on the Client List; 

  • Go to the Quick Menu of Taxx Savage Pro
  • From the menu, select Configuration 
  • Proceed to Advanced Configuration 
  • Select Display Settings 
  • Then select Edit Client’s 1040 List 
  • Select Columns To Display On Client List 
  • Either check or uncheck the boxes beside the items you would want to be displayed in the Client List. 

Customize the left-to-right order of the columns 

In the Client List, the order of the columns can also be arranged. In the Client List, click on and hold the column heading name then drag the column header to the desired location in the list. 

Note: In the event that after you have dragged the column, it disappears entirely, search for it on the right hand side of the list. 

Hide the Client List when starting a new return 

In case your computer monitor can be seen by your customers, you may want to hide your Client List. To hide the Client List: 

  • Go to the Quick Menu of Taxx Savage Pro 
  • From the menu, select Configuration 
  • Proceed to Advanced Configuration 
  • Select Display Settings 
  • Then Edit Client’s 1040 List 
  • Start Return Using Client List - Change this to NO. 

After doing this, every time you select Tax Returns in the Quick Menu, you will be asked to enter the SSN of the taxpayer or press Enter by itself in order to show the Client List. 

Don’t show the Client List along with the Quick Menu 

To only display the Quick Menu: 

  • Go to the Quick Menu 
  • From the menu, select Configuration 
  • Proceed to Advanced Configuration (Macros) 
  • Select Display Settings 
  • Then select Display Client List on Main Menu - Change this to NO.
