Desktop: Invalid EFIN Validation Code
The EFIN Validation Code is a 12-digit code that is unique to every EFIN and tax year and is needed by the IRS to be part of every tax return that is e-filed.
The following message will be displayed when you enter a wrong EFIN Validation Code into Taxx Savage Pro:
Invalid EFIN Validation Code |
You will need to check on two things:
- Ensure that the correct EFIN has been entered in the Firm EFIN field in the Firm Information Setup Menu. The code will not validate in case the EFIN is not correct.
- The code changes every year. You should therefore ensure that you enter the correct code for the right software year. In the event that you are copying then pasting the code from the Account Hub, it is also important to ensure that you remove the space before the code or the period after.
In the event that the error is not resolved by either of the above suggestions, and you are working on the initial program installation (click on the X button at the top right) then start over. In the event that this does not still work even after starting over, contact Taxx Savage Pro support through 1-844-400-8299.
