Is it Possible to Convert or Import Returns from ProWeb to Desktop?
No. Returns in the ProWeb cannot be converted/imported to the Taxx Savage Pro desktop program.
Luckily though, you can convert tax returns prepared using other programs and pull them into the present year tax returns prepared in Taxx Savage Pro.
Below is a list of the popular desktop tax preparation software and the kind of returns that can be converted to Taxx Savage:
Below are the conversion instructions:
STEP 1: Consolidate all the returns that are to be converted into the working version of your current software on the computer to be used as the “File Server” by Taxx Savage Po.
STEP 2: Use your Admin login information to open the previous year version of Taxx Savage Desktop. From the Main Menu, select Utilities.
STEP 3: Select Run Conversion Program.
STEP 4: Select the option “New Conversion”
STEP 5: Select Desktop then click Submit.
STEP 6: Select the Program that you want to convert. Immediately, next to Path to Program Data, the standard data path for the program will appear. If need be, you can choose another data folder for this program.
To begin the conversion, click Start.
The conversion utility will begin the return processing.
The speed of your computer, your current software package and the number of returns to convert determine the amount of time taken to complete the conversion.
When the conversion is completed, you will see the green box below. Your data will also have been ready to be pulled forward. Select Yes upon being asked whether you would like to begin the return with prior year data.
Take Note:
- Returns with security restrictions will not be converted. You should therefore remove all passwords and security restrictions before submitting the returns for conversion. After the conversion is complete, restore the security features.
- Some or part of some returns are inconvertible. For such returns, you will be forced to reenter the data manually within the Taxx Savage Pro.
