Can I Use Taxes to Go Only for Sending and Receiving Documents to or From My Customers?

Yes. you can use Taxes To Go to send and receive documents through 4 simple steps: 

  1. To use Taxes To Go for sharing documents only, your program must have the return. If you lack the return, proceed to initiate the return. 
  2. After initiating the return, request your client to download the Taxes To Go mobile app and create an account. 
  3. Instruct your client to use the Upload Documents feature to upload their tax documents. 
  4. Once your taxpayer uploads their tax documents, sync the app account and the existing tax return in the program. Once done, you will be able to have a look at the taxpayer’s uploaded documents then share to them the signature documents. 

In order to associate an existing return to an app account, you will need the taxpayer’s tax code. 

In Desktop - Ensure that under the Name and Address information,, there is the taxpayer’s email address then: 

  • Go to the Main Menu 
  • Select Personal Information 
  • Go to Other Categories 
  • Proceed to Associate with Pro App Return? 
  • Enter the Tax Code and you are done. 

In ProWeb - use the following steps: 

  • Search for the client
  • Once found, select the Tools menu 
  • From the menu there is the option of ‘sync Return with Mobile App’ 
  • Enter the taxpayer’s email address and tax code and you are done. 

Upon syncing the returns, documents uploaded via the app will be visible to you after which you can share signature documents with the taxpayer.
