# Audit Protection

**What is Audit Maintenance Protection**

AMP is an ancillary product designed to protect your clients in case of errors on their return or if the IRS decides to audit them. It acts like insurance, covering them for **3 years** on the filed return, up to **$2,500**.

**Example:**  
If a client owes the IRS **$2,000**, AMP will step in and handle the IRS on their behalf. Your client is protected and doesn’t have to deal with the audit alone.

### Rebate Program

If you complete the required number of **bank product returns**, you’ll receive a **$10 rebate for every AMP sold**, paid out after tax season (typically July).

- **Taxx Collab:** 300 Bank Products
- **Taxx Pro:** 400 Bank Products
- **Taxx 10x:** 500 Bank Products

### Non-Bank Product Returns

- If AMP is used with a **non-bank product return**, the **preparer** (you) are responsible for paying the audit protection fee up front.
- This is in addition to the standard non-bank fee.
- Payment must be made **before the return is submitted** — see the **Client Hub** for payment links.
